australia, barefeet, colds & cousins
since grandma & grandpa p have gotten the girls all excited about australia, we decided to take our own trip.
petting the wallabies was the highlight of our pretend australia trip. c had lots of fun playing with cousins and taking them to a few of her favorite places. we played in the water at "waterfall park."
the girls played in the treehouse, jumped on the neighbors' trampoline, built tree forts, made crafts when it rained, swam in c's cold pool, swam at lifetime and enjoyed plenty of time barefoot.
the adults lounged around reading, playing games, and fighting colds to varying degrees. most of the mn clan were over their colds when the visit began, but uncle j got pretty sick their 1st day here and was sent to the dungeon. little c came down with it wed night. as usual, she ignored all symptoms during the day but kept us up most of the nights wed & thurs. m&j both started to feel pretty congested by thurs night. friday was a rough day for the colorado clan as the mn clan left for the rest of their vacation in nm. c was sad that her cousins were gone, m fought fuzzy head syndrome and a low-grade fever all day, and j came home from work with a fever of 103.8! we all appear to be on the upward swing now. thank you nighttime cold medicine for toddlers --- c slept all night. c is now down for a nap that she didn't fight at all, and without being medicated. things are looking up.
