adventures, bundled up & candlelight
with temperatures in the upper 20s, we felt it was time to get outside. our social butterfly was in need of playmates so we sent out an open invite in hopes that someone would come up to go sledding with us. our adventurous friends, we'll call them the s clan, graciously accepted our offer. they came, we played, went sledding, and rounded out the adventure with a copycat chik-fil-a style meal and snow ice cream. thanks to the electric company, our weekend ended with a 9 hour candlelit adventure. we lost power around 3:30pm. a call to the electric company led us to believe the power would be back on by 5:45pm. we played "hoot, owl, hoot" with the light of our dining room window. when the light started to fade, we played hide-and-go-seek (something c is still not very good at, but flashlights make everything more fun). when that game was no longer safe, we lit candles and j read several chapters of "matilda" aloud....
