animals (the pics), birthday boy, cute denial

Image
well, here are some pics of c at the zoo. most of last week was spent recovering from the yuck.  we were more active on saturday.  we ventured out to a good friend's 1st birthday party.  the poor birthday boy was forced to have a party with all girls.  he didn't seem to mind though since he was the only one who got chocolate!  all the little monkeys had a good time at the park after the mess. c was pretty wiped out again by sunday evening.  however, she chose to deal with it by going through a very cute denial period before bedtime (much better than the whining we often get).

animals, bach, crayons

another busy week/weekend led to baby & mama not feeling so hot.  thurday: skating.  friday: the zoo (those pics will be saved for another post).  saturday: landscaping at the old house and a party for someone from j's work.  sunday: church and an evening covered in baby vomit (really, how is it possible for someone so small to become such a large spewing fountain.  m & c were both so covered we hopped in the shower with all of our clothes on, which really didn't help calm a scared little one.  j found it amusing though). baby c has spent the rest of the week slowly regaining her appetite (she really likes pedialyte).  we've kept her happy by spending lots of time outside.  m got sick on tuesday and has just been able to start munching on crackers today.  blah, blucky, bach (oh yeah, and apparently yesterday was bach's birthday). m's recovering today while trying to keep c out of trouble (not very successfully as she managed ...

adventures on a big climber

a day at the park with a one year old.  the swing was fun for about 2 minutes.  climbing around, crawling through tubes, and throwing oneself down slides head first ---now that's entertainment.

advancing, babbling, coloring & cleaning

m's laptop is back in working order.  (dropping it on the tile floor was very bad).  j spent a good portion of last work saving what he could and replacing everything else. c spent the week making slow, steady advances in her walking capabilities.  holding things seems to help her concentrate.  while holding a rag, she decided she likes to help m clean. c also finally figured out the real purpose of crayons.(she still has to be reminded not to chew on them, but at least we're making progress). c has greatly enjoyed her new cardboard fort (c graduated to a big girl car seat leading us to "recycle" the boxes).   m greatly enjoyed making it. now, c needs to help m cover up the cosco designs.
