august, babysitter blues, cones
we're almost half-way through august already. unbelievable.
m goes back to work tomorrow. yet another new babysitter has been found. our sitter from last year kindly gave us about 5 days notice that she would not be able to care for c this year. 3 interviews left us with 2 good choices. crisis averted.
our other major struggle has been with the sad, sad dog. he has some weird allergy that causes his legs to break out in august. last year we spent hundreds of $ at the vet, and it still took a month to clear up. this year, we tried giving him a baking soda bath, making him wear a cone, giving him benadryl, and now some anti-itch spray that he absolutely loves. we're hoping it'll clear up without the 100s of $. as long as we leave the cone on, he looks better, but as soon as we take the cone off he sneaks off to attempt to gnaw his legs off making them a bloody mess. good times.
this too shall pass:)
