after a week of no naps and lots of rain (for us anyway), we needed to get out!  we headed out to the Boyles' "farm" for some fun and to test our acrobatic skills on part of the challenge course they had set up. yup, they have horses this cowgirl wannabe was ecstatic this girl wasn't sure...  she didn't seem to like being nuzzled there was fun for all ages even c attempted the haystack challenge dad, wait for me with a little help, she made it to the top then she took the plunge that's an over tired baby making all the noise in the background.  the 4 year old didn't start whining until it was time to go home, which we did after all had taken the leap.  we all slept like rocks, even the overtired baby. with some serious retraining, little a appears to be napping again.  whew, that was not a fun week.  our one year old definitely still needs a nap.  we survived and are ready for may day, free comic book day, ...

this little helper misses the water so she plays in it wherever she can we enjoyed a "quiet" afternoon at home with the girls on Easter Sunday.  then we headed to the church castaway gathering where the girls collected way too many Easter eggs.  adults enjoyed figgie piggie and other yummy treats along with a game of bunco. getting 2 girls to smile nicely at the same time is almost impossible these Easter baskets are hilarious sharing after Easter, began the prep for little a's 1st bday.  yes, this art teacher on leave simply needed a cheesy creative outlet.  we hosted a how to train your dragon party that was way above a's head, but the "big" kids had fun. birthday dinner:dragon feces best smash cake ever (ok, maybe not but we did think it turned out pretty cute) a was not impressed.  she kept insisting she was "all done" round 2 was slightly more successful m's favorite pic j's favorite pic...

some "no" signs like "no diving" were expected, some were new to us... the ocean from above   pirate ship fun pretending to be a pirate walking the plank even c "walked the plank" enjoying the ride, hiding from the sun and squirt gun fight quilted windows (i know it's a bit of a stretch...) rum, yum, yum

gardens and geckos our home away from home (from the front) (and from the back --- the way we saw it most as we chose to walk up the lovely hill more often than not! the infinity pool, which we didn't discover until near the end of the trip jammers: the restaurant of choice by default great view, slow service, but right next to the beach where the kids could wander while we waited kid's club (this was not as cool as the beach, but girls enjoyed a couple craft times)! limbo --- c was quite nervous for the performers, but also very impressed to market, to market to buy a ... papaya.  kids preferred the watermelon.
