adjusting, bangs, creative play

january was...

we celebrated j's b-day

we painted snow (with food coloring)

the big one used paint 'cause she knows to only eat white snow

we witnessed some crazy bedheads

a life was remembered
we made playdough and goop

we ate snow

we chipped ice

we played at the park

a little fresh air makes everything better

we train 'em young

we sport new hairstyles (after cutting one's own hair)

we even made it to the zoo

naps on the go have finally been somewhat forthcoming
january was full.  life was full of adjusting: travel and time changes, weening, 5 year old "curriculum,"etc.  we made it home in time to celebrate the new year.  we enjoyed a few warm days in between storms.  the girls rode the train back to ia (apparently the 2nd week in january is a good time to get cheap train tickets).  we mourned the loss of gma lola and then returned to co with only a few toddler tantrums.  we have now settled back into a "normal" routine.  there has yet to be a dull moment though toddler tantrums have lessened with the return of "normal."  it has now been snowing off and on for three days.  we will eventually dig ourselves out from this last snow storm (assuming it actually stops snowing --- it keeps pretending to be done, we'll believe it when we see sunshine and blue skies).
