we've been busy doing normal everyday stuff. chasing 2 girls through various stages of tall grass and whacking said grass down (we're not quite sure how to deal with all of this wet after a decade long drought), swimming with 2 girls, cleaning up with 2 very busy girls (yes, we attempt to make them help with this process), reading with 2 girls, teaching 2 girls that their schedules do NOT align with the setting and rising if the sun, etc. sometimes we manage to snap a few pics...

this year we went to the renaissance festival sans children. it was glorious. we love the children, but sometimes it's nice to get away. we chose to do so wearing lots of metal in the hot colorado sun.

life returned to normal after our day out... until grandpa & grandma phillips visited. then it was nothing but dinosaurs, dragons, mermaids, mazes, parades, "swimming" and fun.

now life is once again back to "normal." c misses grandpa so much that she feels like crying, but she's staying strong and fighting the tears. a play-date with good friends helped alleviate some of her loneliness. i fear the next couple of days will be hard though as m will be busy preparing for the ladies annual tea party. such is life.
