another week gone, and thankfully c's routine is back on track after a busy weekend. m picked up grandpa s from the airport early friday morning, while j worked from home so that c could get a morning nap. with one nap accomplished, m & c & grandpa headed to the palmer lake recreation area to play on the playground, walk around the lake, and run around in circles.
on saturday, we all ventured out to the zoo. many of c's buddies met us there, and we all had a great time. apparently going to the zoo on a windy day is a good time to see lots of animals. (the smells in the air keep them moving according to a talk we heard). c had the most fun trying to say gorilla. she also enjoyed pointing at budgies, and we all enjoyed watching the grizzly bears doing tricks.
j had way too much fun feeding the Giraffa camelopardalis reticulata. all the little ones are still too scared to feed the giraffes themselves, but they really like to watch the big boys feed them.
we ended the weekend with a good church service and a trip back to the airport to see grandpa s off.
